Respecting Your Privacy

The MedLink QR medical identification product (“Product”), website(s) (“Website”), and related services, including subscription and emergency data services (collectively, “Services”) — together referred to as the “Platform” — are provided by MedLink QR (“MedLink QR,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

We understand that as a user of the Product and/or Platform — or as a donor, subscriber, or supporter of MedLink QR (“you”) — you may have concerns about the information you share with us and how it is handled. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Unless otherwise defined, capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in the MedLink QR Terms and Conditions.

Donors

All information regarding donors or prospective donors — including names, addresses, contact details, and donation amounts — is kept strictly confidential by MedLink QR. We do not sell, rent, or trade donor names, email addresses, mailing addresses, or phone numbers with any other organization. Donor information will only be shared with explicit consent.

Overview of the MedLink QR Product and Services

As outlined in the MedLink QR Terms and Conditions, our primary purpose is to help share essential medical information with first responders and healthcare professionals during an emergency.

By purchasing or subscribing to MedLink QR Products and Services, you authorize MedLink QR to securely release your medical and other relevant information to first responders, healthcare personnel, and other authorized individuals in emergencies.

The MedLink QR Product includes a QR code and a unique identification number that can be accessed via smartphone or through the MedLink QR website. When your QR code is scanned, authorized emergency personnel can view the information you’ve made available in your MedLink QR profile.

In certain regions, if you or someone else contacts 911 using a phone number you’ve provided to MedLink QR, or provides your MedLink QR ID to the dispatcher, we may securely share your name, gender, and approximate age (calculated from your date of birth) with 911 dispatchers via our secure technology partner, RapidSOS. This enables faster and more accurate emergency responses.

MedLink QR and its partners may retain de-identified, non-personal records of when emergency access occurred but will never record or listen to your calls. However, communications with MedLink QR support (calls, emails, or chat) may be recorded for training and security purposes.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, email, and emergency details when you voluntarily provide it — for example, when you register, update your profile, purchase a Product, or subscribe to Services.

This information may also be shared with authorized service providers involved in operating the Platform. All third-party providers are required to maintain strict confidentiality and use your data only for the purposes specified by MedLink QR.

In addition, our Website may automatically log browser headers, IP addresses, device information, referring URLs, and timestamps. This helps us maintain security and improve your browsing experience.

Opt-out Policy

If you provide your contact information, you may receive occasional updates, offers, or service announcements from MedLink QR.

If you prefer not to receive marketing emails, SMS messages, or phone calls, please email opt-out@medlinkqr.com with your request. You can also adjust your communication preferences by contacting us at (064) 332-1233 (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. PDT).

Please note that transactional communications — such as order confirmations, invoices, or membership-related notices — cannot be unsubscribed from, except for transactional text messages, which you may opt out of.

Exceptions to the Opt-out Policy

MedLink QR may disclose personal information if required by law or when necessary to protect users, the public, or our rights and property. This includes cases involving potential fraud, misuse, or threats to safety.

Protecting Your Payment Information

We take payment security seriously. MedLink QR uses industry-standard encryption to protect sensitive information during transmission. Credit card details are never stored on MedLink QR servers. Instead, encrypted reference tokens are used for recurring transactions. Our staff cannot access your full payment information at any time.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Like most websites, the MedLink QR Platform uses cookies — small text files stored on your browser — to enhance your experience, remember preferences, and analyze website activity.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect some website functionality.

We also use cookies and analytics tools (like Google Analytics) for research, marketing, and performance improvements. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve MedLink QR Products and Services

MedLink QR operates from the United Kingdom and provides services primarily to UK residents. If you are outside the UK and choose to use our Platform, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data under this Privacy Policy.

You are under no obligation to share personal information; however, certain features and services may be unavailable without it.

Links to Third-party Sites

Our Platform may include links to third-party websites or services for your convenience. This Privacy Policy applies only to MedLink QR’s Platform. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites and recommend reviewing their policies before sharing any information.

Information Collected by Third Parties

Authorized third-party providers may collect information (including cookie data and transaction details) on behalf of MedLink QR to operate services, deliver promotions, and improve performance.

These partners are carefully selected and must comply with our privacy and security standards.

California Privacy Disclosure

MedLink QR may collect information across different sites and sessions. The Platform does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

California residents may request details about personal information shared for marketing purposes under the “Shine the Light” law by contacting privacy@medlinkqr.com and specifying “California Privacy Rights Notice.” Please allow up to 30 days for a response.

Children’s Privacy

MedLink QR does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children should use the Platform only with parental or guardian supervision.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page. By continuing to use the Platform after updates are posted, you agree to the revised policy.
